The current framework described by the government
India’s Press Information Bureau states that the Promotion and Regulation of Online Gaming Rules, 2026 came into force on 1 May 2026 under the Promotion and Regulation of Online Gaming Act, 2025. The framework distinguishes online social games and e-sports from online money games.
The government summary describes a ban on online money games whether based on skill, chance or both, including advertising, promotion and facilitation. It also describes restrictions on financial transactions connected with those games. Do not rely on a “skill game” slogan or a state-only gambling summary to infer that a cash game is permitted.
Separate a guide from a game service provider
This static site provides learning material, not a hosted card-game service or APK verified as a particular product. It makes no claim of regulator registration or certification. If the site operator later introduces an actual game or distribution arrangement, the exact product and operating model must be assessed separately.
The government framework describes an authority, determination and registration processes, user-safety measures and grievance handling. Age gating, time controls and an internal grievance channel are not fulfilled by adding a footer alone. We do not assert that this educational page performs a provider’s statutory obligations.
18+ is our policy, not a legal shortcut
Every page carries an adults-only notice. That is a website-use policy. It does not override applicable law, legalise a prohibited activity or replace proper verification where required. Regional, operational and other applicable requirements should be considered by the actual operator with qualified advice.
A third-party app’s age rating may differ from this site’s 18+ policy. Do not present the website banner as evidence that a publisher has completed age checks or regulator review.
When to stop an installation or interaction
- Stop if an entertainment-only offer changes into a cash stake, deposit or redeemable-reward pitch.
- Do not follow payment instructions, recharge links or withdrawal-unlock demands from a download page.
- Check the genuine publisher and its current terms rather than relying on a similar app name.
- For a specific legal or regulatory decision, consult current official sources and a qualified adviser.
This page cannot decide a dispute, investigate a service or provide a compliance opinion. The disclaimer and responsible-gaming guidance explain adjacent limits.
Read the primary source in context
The government’s published explanation is linked below. Read its descriptions of classification, safety and registration rather than relying only on this summary. If official requirements or orders change, a site maintainer should make a substantive review before changing the content date.

What no-money means on this website
The government discusses classification factors such as payment of stakes, expected monetary winnings, revenue model and monetisation of in-game assets outside the game. Calling a balance “coins” or an app “social” is not enough if those assets have real value.
